“The only obstacles that one sees are when they take their eyes off their goals.” -Anonymous
Elegantly put. Powerful in its brevity and its simplicity.
The quest for business success leads down many paths and doesn’t spare any from the roadblocks and setbacks that are sure to arise on the way.
No, you are not special (at least not in that regard). There is nothing new under the sun! The difficulties that you are experiencing are not just some karmic payback from a former life filled with wrongdoing.
You have set out on perhaps one of the most difficult and yet rewarding journeys in the business world. The setbacks are just the price you pay for the results you want. With that being said it is important to condition your mind to be in it for the long haul.
I cannot stress the importance of keeping up the right mindset. You have to EXPECT to succeed in you business. See it in your mind. Imagine how it will feel when you get to your goal. Speak it to yourself every single day.
When you do this, roadblocks, setbacks and obstacles will no More >

Dream Big Or Die Slowly

Reading time: 2 – 2 minutes
This post is for my big dreamers. It’s for those who cannot help but to feel like they can/should accomplish more or have a life of purpose. You may wonder why that feeling is unshakable? Or why you have this deep seeded desire to try. Don’t be alarmed people because you are not alone.
We ALL have felt the pull to do some great thing and anything else but its accomplishment to causes you great discomfort. When you are not trying to do it you can feel it. It causes you to question and re-question your current job choice(s). Call it what you want to (I like to call it the call of destiny, but again, I too am a big dreamer) I have news for you my friend. That feeling will NEVER go away. EVER.
For the most part we are allowed to hold onto our dreams as children but then we “grow up.” Slowly but surely we learn that to dream is foolishness. We see that our lot in life is to work to make ends meet. Nothing wrong with that. The problem is that we are told that it is the ONLY way.

Fighting The Perfect Enemy

Inspiration sometimes comes from the most unlikely of places. (I had to laugh to myself as the absolute reality of that statement washed over me yet again) Did you ever stop to think about that? Take 10 seconds to really mull that over because I want you to get this. I will sit here and wait as it washes over you too. Don’t forget this exercise.
Now, back to the story. In my own case, inspiration came forth during the colossal health care battle that was raged during most of 2009 and earlier this year. There was a single quote that grabbed me and has spurred some deep thought and serious action taking:
“Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good”
This simple quote was used by those in favor of health care reform to argue against those who were…in favor of health care reform? Confused yet?
Basically, a bill was proposed. Most people felt that said bill was not great but it was definitely a change from the unsustainable status quo. Lawmakers who wanted more changes than this were not going to vote for the bill because they felt it didn’t change enough.
